Celebrate Halloween with These Ideas

Halloween is coming soon, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate the season that don’t just involve Trick or Treating! Make the most of the beautiful fall weather with these ideas for celebrating the Halloween season.

  1. Host a movie marathon

Whether you want to binge-watch your favorite horror movies or happy movies are more your speed, a movie marathon with friends is the perfect way to spend a few hours inside if it’s chilly! Make sure to make some popcorn and give guests plenty of flavoring options, from butter to pieces or candy, and serve warm spiced apple cider. If you aren’t sure what movies to watch, ask everyone to recommend their favorites.

  1. Have a family walk to look at Halloween decorations

Are the houses in your neighborhood going all out with fun decorations? Check them all out on a family walk! Make sure to bring along hot chocolate to stay warm, and head on a walk after work so you can enjoy the sunset. Family walks are a great way to spend time with family, get some exercise and fresh air in, and get in the spirit of the season.

  1. Enjoy dinner by a campfire

Do you think that picnics are reserved for summer weather? Switch up your usual dinner plans and enjoy dinner outside by a fire pit! Whether you serve traditional campfire food like hot dogs and S’mores or you go with fancier cuisine, enjoying the meal outside will be a fun way to take a break from your typical routine.

  1. Hold a Halloween potluck

Themed recipes are some of the best, so take advantage of the season by holding a Halloween potluck! There are plenty of ideas you can try online, but if you’re not sure where to start, try grabbing Steel City Pops and then decorating. Add chocolate chip eyeballs to a vanilla bean pop to make a ghost or melt some chocolate and drizzle on a Jack-O-Lantern face to an orange pop—to make it extra special, see if pumpkin spice is in season.

Whether you’ve been waiting for Halloween since the summer or it’s just another day for you, use one of these ideas as a way to celebrate the amazing weather and holiday season!
