Summers in Kentucky can’t be beat. Between the beautiful views, the perfect weather, and all the fun activities, you’ll want to have a KY getaway ever year! So if you are lucky enough to call Kentucky home or just visiting, we’ve created the ultimate guide during the summer!
The Kentucky State Fair
What a no brainer. Nobody does state fairs quite like Kentucky does! It is the biggest festival in Kentucky, and for good reasons! Carnival food, Ferris wheel, livestock shows, games, local band performances, and SO much more! The fair is the third weekend of August at the Kentucky Expo Center!
Louisville Bats Game
America’s past time is definitely on the top of the summer bucket list. Want to take a regular baseball game up a notch? Book one of their luxury suites! You and your friends can enjoy the game from an air conditioned suite with benefits that include: parking passes, catering menu, access to club level bar and lounger, an in-house attendant, and much more!
Hofbrauhaus Newport Brewing & Restaurant
Hofbrauhaus is a Bavarian beer garden located in Newport! Not only a brewery, Hofbrauhaus also hosts events! Not to mention their delicious Bavarian menu that includes a wide range of pretzels and potatoes!
Cumberland Falls State Park
Fishing, hiking, gem mining, camping, horse-back riding, and SO much more to do while at the park! But, why we recommend Cumberland Falls instead of other parks, is because of the moonbow! What is a moonbow? The “moonbow” is a white rainbow (light is refracted in water droplets) and appears for only about 2 days around the moon. Cumberland Falls is one of the only locations in the world that you can view the moonbow.
We only listed 4 ideas to add to your 2021 summer bucket list, but there is so much more to see and do! Take a day and find an adventure! Don’t forget to stop by Steel City Pops on the way!
