Steel City Pops announces Grab-N-Go Service

Homewood, Alabama, 3/17/2020 — At Steel City Pops, our top priority is taking care of our customers and our employees. While the emergence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is an evolving situation with many unknowns, we are sure of one thing: We will do our part to help our fellow citizens in our local communities. As a small business who has always attempted to enrich our local communities, we know that we can help slow the spread of the virus by working together. Here are some of the things we’re doing to help.

Protecting Our Employees, Customers and Communities

Our Employees are the heart of everything we do at Steel City Pops and we want to help them take extra care of themselves and their families so they can take better care of you, our customers. We are equipping our Employees with the best and most current information so that they can make informed decisions for their families. We have increased resources for our Employees to improve their wellness practices and if they do not feel well, we encourage them to stay home.

We are also paying close attention to the health needs of our communities and are working with our partners at large community gatherings, to promote awareness and prevent the further spread of the virus. While our loyal customers may not see our Steel City Pops employees working or volunteering actively out in our communities for the next couple of months as we often are, please know that these Employees are working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our stores are prepared to serve customers during this time. Steel City Pops is committed now more than ever to engaging our customers throughout this significant health concern facing our communities.

Providing Grab and Go Service for your Favorite Pop Flavor

We understand our customers want to still enjoy some normalcy in today’s unsure times. Our customers must continue to prepare, but panic does not promote normalcy. In order to help ensure that there is some normalcy in our communities Steel City Pops announces grab and go service in all 12 of our locations in Alabama, Kentucky and Texas.

“This is a time when we have to come together and help our neighbors. Together, we can and will get through this,” CEO Peter Srodoski said to all employees.

Helping Ensure A Safe Experience

Steel City Pops announced at our stores on Thursday that we were going above and beyond our already-strict protocols to sanitize our stores to create a safe experience. We are sanitizing our stores and surfaces that receive higher frequency use by cleaning them every 15 minutes. We’re also conducting training for our Employees to reinforce our enhanced hygiene and personal wellness measures.

Stay home if you are sick.

Rest assured, according to the CDC, the coronavirus is not related to any food products.

Ever since Steel City Pops launched in 2012, Steel City Pops has been committed to serving our loyal customers with the best quality products – and we are well-positioned to continue to do so. Our Steel City Pops team is closely monitoring all developments related to the coronavirus and we’re prepared to take additional actions as needed to help ensure the safety, health and well-being of our customers, Employees and communities.

Buy 4 pops and you will receive one gift stick to be used at a later visit.

Buy a 12 pack of your favorite flavors and you will receive the family fun activities as well as 4 free pop sticks for use at a later visit.

For every $25 in gift cards that you buy from Steel City Pops we will also give you 3 free pop sticks for use at a later visit.

To add to all that, Steel City Pops is also looking into a service where you can pay with your credit card over the phone and just text us when you arrive. That way there is as little human interaction as possible protecting our employees and customers even more. Steel City Pops also offers a delivery service in all our stores so you can get your favorite Steel City Pops brought to your doorstep!
